No Denying Profit Motive

Most people would agree that domestic violence is not a “pre-existing condition,” and should never be a factor in deciding who gets health care coverage.

But in eight states and the District of Columbia, insurers can claim just that.

Why would insurance industry executives do that?

Profits before care.

That is why we need the single-payer healthcare plan.

The Observer carries on the "give 'em hell" tradition of its founder, the late Frosty Troy. I read it from cover to cover. A progressive wouldn't be able to live in a red state without it.
