Observercast

Oklahoma County’s Got The Blues

on

A progressive tide continues to surge in Oklahoma’s largest county. Not only did statewide Democratic candidates Joy Hofmeister and Jena Nelson outperform their GOP opponents in the county last November, but more Democrats than Republicans voted in Feb. 14’s county clerk primaries and progressive JoBeth Hamon withstood an establishment, intra-party challenge to claim a second term on the OKC Council. Veteran Democratic consultants Cassi Peters and Joe Hartman join us for this week’s Observercast to discuss the Democratic momentum in Oklahoma County and what it could portend for Oklahoma’s political future.

The Observer carries on the "give 'em hell" tradition of its founder, the late Frosty Troy. I read it from cover to cover. A progressive wouldn't be able to live in a red state without it.
