What Bush Deserved

on

BY KAREN WEBB

MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow seemed upset that some people booed when Bush appeared yesterday. Someone would have had to have gagged me, knocked me out or killed me to keep me from booing.

It was like he was a scurvy, cowardly varmint crawling out of some dark secretive hole, still smirking and hoping for a legacy that doesn’t stink like warm vomit.

I was wanting him to get what Nixon got in the movie Dick, except with several million extras with their fingers up. Maybe a big sign he could see from the window of the helicopter that said, “Prepare for your enhanced interrogation” or “You have the right to remain silent, hire an attorney and every damn thing you have said in eight years will be held against you” or “This is the circumstance where torture is not only appropriate, but mandatory” or “Jumper cable time” or “Bring on the dogs.”

Or they could have sent him off with flag-draped coffins from HIS war for profit arranged between the rows of crosses at Arlington or maybe just displayed on the White House lawn.

The only thing joyful about his leaving was the leaving, and he went back to Texas and said this morning he would look in his mirror and be proud of what he saw.

Arrogant egomaniac to the very end!

Not one bit sorry for any of the deaths he has caused. Bad advice? Right, they cherry-picked anything that would make invading Iraq tolerable to the American people and it was never tolerable for me.

So sad, Oklahoma is still the home to more self-righteous judgmental yahoos than any state in the union and they have control of our Legislature.

Prepare for the Inquisition. We are about to become the first state to require religious tests for everything in the Union.

Now for the justice. Justice delayed is justice denied. The Bush Administration deserves no mercy.

The Observer carries on the "give 'em hell" tradition of its founder, the late Frosty Troy. I read it from cover to cover. A progressive wouldn't be able to live in a red state without it.
