Wiki-Distraction: That Is More Like It

on

BY BOB NICHOLS

Today I wondered what Julian Assange and WikiLeaks were all about? So, I did what a lot of people do: I asked Google for the number of hits on the word “WikiLeaks”.

Wow! Google reported “483,000,000 results.” I was kinda stunned.

Google “God”

I Googled “God” next. He, She, It polled “532 million results.” Well, God beat WikiLeaks; but it was closer that I thought it would be.

I Googled “G-d” next. Hmmmm, about 96 million hits. Not even very close.

On another tact I Googled “President Bill Clinton.” Bombing Bill was way back at 1,830,000 Google hits.

I know, I’ll Google “President George Bush.” There were two of them, maybe they will do better! What! Only 11,200,000 Google hits and there were two of them!

How about the French President? “Président Nicolas Sarkozy”? Nawwww … 5,650,000 Google hits. His old lady, Carla Bruni, scored “About 5,410,000 results.”

OKayyyyy! I pulled out the big guns – American Pop Stars! “Britney Spears” rang up 52.5 million Google hits. Surely someone or something else out ranks “WikiLeaks.”

Arrgghh! Go for broke. How ‘bout “sex”? So I Googled that as a last resort: “sex”. Finally! Something beats “WikiLeaks”. Sex polls – catch this – fully 3.67 billion Google hits. That’s 3,670,000,000. Well, well, isn’t that something?

That’s an interesting state of affairs. However, that is Reality, according to Google, that is. Let’s check “gambling” – only 47,500,000. That is a surprise, I thought it would be more.

Well, more than anything else, WikiLeaks is a distraction, Big Time. I can’t believe how much time I have wasted with WikiLeaks. And, that is the biggest distraction of all.

Nuke weapons for Brazil?

Hmm, I wonder which lil country the mighty U.S. SuperPower will invade during the combined Wiki-Holiday Distraction. Last up was poor ole Costa Rica and they don’t even have an army!

But, also in the same neighborhood, that being South America, Brazil is determined to build nuclear weapons. The 15 year plan of the Brazilian Navy is to buy a German nuclear submarine, then build their own – along with the uranium enrichment plant to fuel the nuke subs.

Except, as many readers know, nuclear subs use bomb grade U235. Germany, the U.S. and the UK are going along with the deal. So, Brazil gets nuclear weapons. Can Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay be far behind?

Is this what the great Wiki-Distraction is to “protect” couch potato Americans from or is it something even more weird that that? Back door nuclear weapons for South America; approved by the great Obama? You tell me.
