Observercast

Justice For Julius Jones

on

The world is watching to see what Oklahoma does in the case of Julius Jones, scheduled to be executed Nov. 18 for the murder of Edmond businessman Paul Howell. The state Pardon and Parole Board, citing doubts about Jones’ guilt, recommended Gov. Kevin Stitt commute Jones’ sentence to life with the possibility of parole. For a special Observercast — Justice For Julius Jones — we invited OKC hip hop artist, actor and activist Jabee and state Rep. Jason Lowe, a criminal defense attorney who serves as chair of the Legislative Black Caucus, to discuss the case, Oklahoma’s record of botched lethal injections and what it would say to the world if the state carried out the execution despite the doubts about Jones’ guilt.
