Who Will Teach Folks In Nichols Hills To Start A Lawnmower?

on

But depending on the details in their yet-to-be released proposal, another law – the “law of unintended consequences” – most likely will kick in soon after their unneeded scheme is signed by Silly Stitt and enforcement begins.

Say what?

Sure enough, because the vast majority of the road crews and perhaps 95% of the roofers in our state are immigrants, some legal while others are not, mostly from Mexico and countries south. Additional places where you will find the bulk of work being done by Hispanics and other non-whites: Yard maintenance and beautification; dishwashing and cleaning in hotels and restaurants; farm work; bricklayers and bridge construction operations; and any other hot, dangerous and unpleasant job that the rest of us will no longer do.

Whatever document emerges from the bigoted and blighted brains of our lawmakers and governor, it will, of course, be challenged for legality but, meanwhile, if effectively enforced, will have an immediate negative financial impact on our state’s economy. It has to do with the abundance of work done in so many areas.

I didn’t even mention the horse business which is a growing and successful segment of activity in rural Oklahoma where, of course, most of the horses are, as well as being home to a number of horses’ asses who will vote to hurt their own legislative districts in the name of … wait for it … law and order.

So, as a refresher for families in south Tulsa and northwest OKC, many mowers start by pulling a rope; others by a turn of a key or even just the push of a button. Most run on gasoline but do check with your local implement dealer before firing up your mower to tend to your lawn, previously cared for by Juan or Jose or even Maria. Those folks will be harder to find, as well as their excellent services, not only for your yard and roof but also for taking care of your kids, thanks to the cooks, maids and nannies that want nothing more than to do a good job, earn their keep and pursue the American dream.

Meanwhile, three specific politicos have the need to demonize them and destroy their futures, while demonstrating their own “tough on immigrants” bonafides because it’s an election year and they are all term-limited in their current jobs but want new ones while on the government tit. Yep, Treat and McCall will be unemployed by November this year and Silly Stitt has to hit the door two years from now.

With health care, education, criminal justice, infrastructure, the judicial system, our environment and other important government functions crying out for improvement, one wonders why our current elected leaders choose instead to chase mostly brown people out of our redneck state.

Because they can – nothing more, nothing less. So look for a big press conference by our three white amigos telling you they are making Oklahoma a safer and more prosperous place to live, work and raise a family.

And their fingers will be crossed and their noses growing while doing so.
