Aye, There’s The Rub!

I attended a recent U.S. Rep. Kendra Horn Town Hall which, if it proved one thing, it was that rabid Trump supporters know no shame when it comes to alternating the facts in evidence.

The several that attended the Town Hall – a couple in “Make America Great Again” hats and one with a red sweatshirt that made the same statement – attempted to make a sham of the Town Hall and embarrass Kendra, but she was having none of it.

She stuck the facts and didn’t allow them to alternate the facts in any way.

Despite their best efforts they only proved that they aren’t capable of rendering a scenario in which they can actually stand on principle because the guy they are trying to defend has no known principles.

Amid their attempts at the Town Hall to decry the “witch hunt” and blame Democrats in the impeachment inquiry, they again failed miserably in their aims to deflect from salient facts and made in general complete asses of themselves by their very lurid attempts to present “alternate facts” as actual facts.

Those in attendance at the Town Hall left fully aware that they [the ever-Trumpers] did nothing to advance their cause, which always appears to be some professed goal to inject baseless propaganda into any attempt by the other side to present actual facts.

From my observation of their attempts to make a mockery of Kendra’s Town Hall, they failed because what they were attempting went totally flat and they came away without a modicum of knowledge as to what the real issues and facts were about.

These people appear to lack even a brief smattering of the sense of history of our nation. They are lost in a sea of trying to defend the indefensible. They don’t appear to ever have read our Constitution nor have even a slight working grasp of how the world of international diplomacy works.

Their one aim is to push lies and so-called “alternate facts” which, of course, aren’t facts in the smallest context of the word, but simply lies touted as facts.

They can’t seem to get away from yelling “witch hunt” in a crowded theater, whenever they are called and asked to state with clarity exactly what they are pushing in a narrative. They always resort to shouting when their arguments are exposed to the truth.

They are a sad group of people and would lend themselves to be pitied were it not for their general ignorance and lack of ability to articulate the “alternate facts” they are espousing. But when your only grasp of a situation is because you are buying into totally debunked conspiracy theories then, as the Bard of the Avon once noted, “Aye, there’s the rub!”
