To even suggest Democratic gubernatorial nominee Jari Askins is a liberal is an insult to true liberals because she isn’t even close. The Republican Governor’s Association is funding the ad on TV [http://vimeo.com/14615812] but it doesn’t mention Mary Fallin.
I have a suggestion for how to label the ad:
Paid for by people who are in favor of punishing children being born in Oklahoma or for not objecting when their parents brought them here for a better life. We object to rewarding being born and raised in Oklahoma by making it possible for kids who have worked hard enough to qualify for college to pay for it. We prefer them to validate our erroneous claims that all Hispanics are drug dealers. We prefer watching them die without heath care for not doing a better job of choosing parents. They have a lot of nerve being born here or being brought here.
If I am supposed to vote for Mary Fallin who says a poor person never offered her a job because Jari Askins is against child abuse then I shall have to vacate everything I was ever taught in Sunday School. I recall back in 1996 when Mary Fallin made you and me a promise that if Oklahomans approved Right to Work there were companies and corporations lined up on the border with $12 an hour jobs. Instead GM and a number of other companies moved out.
By the way, I did not vote for it because I knew she was lying through her teeth.
She is still promising jobs if we keep lowering taxes for wealthy people and for businesses. Instead of creating jobs in Oklahoma or the USA they create them in other countries because labor is cheap and they don’t have to give them benefits. Not only do we not get jobs here we don’t even get lower prices on what is made with all that cheap labor.
The gap between the people who are paid a couple of dollars an hour to make those GAP jeans and those making a fortune off of those GAP jeans gets bigger and still the millionaires who own or invest in GAP jeans are claiming abuse and begging for more.
I may have to hold my nose and carry a barf bag to the voting booth, but I wouldn’t vote for any Republican in Oklahoma no matter who is running on the other side because I am tired of people telling me that God wants the rich richer and the poor poorer.
I am also tired of people claiming that God insists on codifying sinners into heaven instead of the old fashioned way of witnessing and being nice.
