How stupid can they get?
I was absolutely positive the GOP couldn’t possibly get more worshipful of Rush Limbaugh unless they declared him God of the most high, but I was wrong. Please feed his ego some more, he is much to humble.
“WASHINGTON – Two days after calling conservative commentator Rush Limbaugh a mere ‘entertainer’ with an ‘incendiary’ talk show, Republican National Committee chairman Michael Steele apologized and acknowledged him as a ‘national conservative leader.'”
Rush himself says he is an entertainer when what he says is proved to be out and out stupid or wrong. I’m just an entertainer, he says. I am just here to entertain.
Barry Goldwater must be flipping like a fish in boiling water.
Well, all I can say is keep it up. I can’t imagine any even moderately decent Republican not switching parties after that.
“To the extent that my remarks helped the Democrats in Washington to take the focus, even for one minute, off of their irresponsible expansion of government, I truly apologize,” Steele said.
When he called Rush an incendiary entertainer, which is true, it caused the Democrats to lose track of what they were doing?
If every moderate Republican doesn’t jump ship after this then they are as crazy as Steele is and maybe has crazy as Rush.
What will the other pundits say? What will this do to their ratings? What will Ann, Sean, Laura and Michelle say?
Are they going to try to unite the party under Rush the Lip? I remember back when they declared that anyone who didn’t stay in step with the Commander-in-Chief – no matter what he did or said – were with the terrorists. Who would have thought that all those Christians and old-line Republicans would have to go along with anything Rush says or does? It is beyond anything I could have imagined.
I have no idea why Sens. Olympia Snowe, Susan Collins and Arlen Specter and even California Gov. Arnie Schwarzenegger don’t jump from this sinking disaster. If they don’t, they are as crazy as Rush is.
My suggestion is that President Obama not meet with the congressional GOP until they get some mental health treatment.
Rush will not be getting bi-partisan on anything. They have handed the party over to the biggest bully on the planet.
