Ignorance Problem

on

Do you have $12,000 to waste?

With few exceptions, the answer to that question would be “no” – and from most of my friends it would be “Hell No!”

Well, our governor and former ace businessman Kevin Stitt did it for you by chartering a private plane last week and flying down to look at the Rio Grande River between Texas and Mexico. While there he also took a little boat ride; then stood behind Texas Gov. Greg Abbott as he held a self-promoting press conference about the obvious: It’s all Joe Biden’s fault.

Yes, penny-pinching Stitt blew through 12 grand of your tax dollars to speed boat on the Rio Grande; learn that there are illegals swimming across it everyday; that some meth in Oklahoma comes from Mexico; that the other eight Republican governors with him like Abbott and don’t like Joe; that border agents say “yes, sir” and “no, sir” when spoken to by an important person; and that he could leave OKC one morning and sleep in his own bed that night.

I guess he has never heard of zoom conferences, which would have cost, at most, a few hundred bucks, or that if he wanted to know more about where meth in Oklahoma is prepared, his own narcotics agents could introduce him to folks here who concoct batches of it everyday in bathtubs all over the state.

But everybody already knows that and it just isn’t as sexy to drive over to Dibble with the narcs and walk through an abandoned trailer where a couple of nights before the “cooks” were producing their deadly deliverables for distributors to dispense.

Look, we have long had an immigration problem and a drug problem. And now we have an ignorance problem with a governor who wastes thousands of your dollars so he can observe for a couple of hours firsthand the situation down south.

And Stitt claims he’s a conservative who understands The Oklahoma Standard.

This trip, not to mention a recent excursion to Azerbaijan, the purpose and cost still unknown, proves otherwise.
