Thank you, Daily Show, for making us aware of the comments of Sen. James Inhofe on the confirmation of Sonia Sotomayor as a Supreme Court justice. I am really afraid to look at his entire comment because what is here is more than enough.

“I confess I feel totally inadequate standing here tonight and talking about the subject of the confirmation of Judge Sotomayor [scratching his head]. I’m not a lawyer and I admit these brilliant lawyers, they have the kind of background where they can really get into this constitutionally and legally. They evaluate and have done this.”

Being “totally inadequate” to speak has never stopped Inhofe before. In fact, being totally ignorant, blissfully obtuse or imminently dense doesn’t phase Inhofe.

No, he isn’t an attorney and he isn’t a scientist, but that has never stopped him from speaking boldly about science. The GOP even put him as chair of the Environmental Committee. He wanted all the nuclear waste in Nevada because, according to him, some of it is stored near Oklahoma. If it was safe he should have volunteered to have it in his neighborhood or state.

He was president of Quaker Life Insurance when it went belly-up, but he still talks business and insurance. He came back from visiting Kosovo refugees in the ‘90s and declared they were not that bad off because some of the kids were wearing Nikes.

You can never be hungry or in need as long as you wear Nikes.

Because he admits to being “totally inadequate” to evaluate her legal qualifications, he just came out against her the minute she was nominated.

He didn’t even need to read any of her decisions because he never lets facts get in his way.

“She played the race card all the way through this thing and was talking about Hispanics in effect and that she thinks that a woman with her experience can make a better conclusion than a white male. And to me I consider that racist.”

There are female Chihuahuas who make better informed decisions than Inhofe. Yeah, she is a racist and that is why when Bill Clinton nominated her for the Court of Appeals in 1997 Jesse Helms voted for her. Jesse does love those racist judges. She was approved 67-28 and the GOP was in the majority. Back then some were concerned she was too liberal on issues like gay rights which is why that ultimate supporter of gay rights Rick Santorum voted for her.

Not one senator could point out even one time she obviously put her personal views before the law. In fact, they said she seemed like two people because her judicial decisions were so separate from her personal views.

When are these unabashedly sexist twits going to stop talking about race? The only reason it was just white men who wrote the Constitution and it was just white men on the Supreme Court, in the White House, in the Congress, with the exception of one or two African-American males and a couple of women, for over 200 years is because they were considered inferior to white men.

It had absolutely nothing to do with superior intelligence because women and minorities were not allowed in the halls of higher learning. When women first asked for the right to vote, the men decided that if women got to vote then men would be forced to take over the housekeeping.

Every stinking time that anyone wanted equality, white men decided it was taking something away from them.

I have known a lot of women, even Hispanic women, who could come to better conclusions than most of the white men in Congress and definitely Jim Inhofe. Inhofe finished college at 38 and as far as I know he has not been valedictorian of anything. He was in the Army from 1957-58 and talks like he was the commandant at West Point.

Let it be known, ladies, that to please Inhofe and the GOP when speaking to your daughters, do not give them the idea that they can ever know as much or make better decisions than a white man, any white man. Tell them, “You can never let a white male think that you think you are as good or better than a white male because it will hurt their feelings.” Make sure and tell any minority girls that it is impossible for a female of any race to be smarter or better informed than a white male.

Ladies, it is back to the days of, “let him win and think he is smarter or you will never get a date or find a husband.” You will never be all you can be because you don’t have a white penis. You can have the brains, the education, the resume, but without a white penis you can never make better decisions.

Give me a barf bag and put a gag on Inhofe.
