Four years after voters made clear they’d had enough of Oklahoma’s punitive approach to crime and punishment, state lawmakers are hellbent on permanently tilting the scales against true, restorative, color blind justice. The Rev. Cece Jones-Davis joins us for this week’s Observercast – Laws Or Justice – to discuss ongoing efforts to secure justice for Julius Jones and legislative chicanery [via HB 3903] to limit both the Oklahoma Pardon and Parole Board’s commutation powers and the grounds on which death row inmates can petition the board for relief.
