It’s true. Dozens of times in the Senate hearing concerning Pete Hegseth’s nomination to be our Secretary of Defense those frightful and scary terms came up. Not a syllable connected to Putin, the former KGB agent, known murderer as well as the dictator-for-life of Russia. Nah, no worry there. The Woki-Man is going to get me first.

The spectacle of grown men and women slobbering all over Pete in adulation of his Bronze Star, just like the ones earned by thousands of other young Americans in Iraq and Afghanistan, was not surprising. But more odious to these critters was the phony horror directed at mere words and letters … woke, CRT and DEI, as though they were invading infidels from distant star I’MANIDIOT.

Actually, the whole hearing turned into a “holier than thou” process with Republicans winning hands down.

Supposedly, Sen. Joni Ernst of Iowa was to grill the handsy Hegseth but no. She had heard from a guardsman in her state saying Pete Is Perfect and that was that. Then, the defender of women in uniform announced she would be supporting Hegseth notwithstanding he is the Poster Boy for the unwanted behavior thrust toward women who choose to defend our nation.

Sadly, Ernst herself was raped by a more senior officer during her time in the Iowa National Guard and also claims she was denied a posting that might have helped her earn an even higher grade to full colonel.

That was then. This is now. And who wants to stand in the way of “Grab ‘Em By The Pussy” Trump’s choices for key positions in the second administration.

Republican senators who would probably kill other men who behaved toward a daughter the way he has done in his previous incarnation could barely contain their joy at the prospect of a new young warrior who worships at the altar of lethality. And they all agreed that $875 billion for defense is not enough, notwithstanding the fact that Russia’s defense spending is a piddling $40 Billion and not to mention it has been bled white in the murderous fields of Ukraine.

And our genius – that being Oklahoma Sen. Markwayne Mullen – was happy to explain had it not been for his lovely wife he would have gone to prison instead of the United States Senate and left it at that without further explanation.

Maybe for a felony in threatening to whip some labor goon’s ass in an ornate committee room. Who knew? Well, no one, since nothing happened. So Warrior Markwayne can’t be convicted for just popping off, of which he has become a self-loving, repetitive egomaniac.

Which means he has now earned the title of senator.
