After the governor signed SB 1100 last week, banning non-binary designations on vital records like birth certificates, Oklahoma has some soul searching to do about what kind of neighbors we want to be. This year’s legislative session has waged a non-unexpected war on the very identities and well-being of our LGBTQ2S friends, family members, and neighbors. We talked with South OKC Rep. Forrest Bennett about the heinous impact of bills like SB 1100, and what we can do from both a policy perspective and a political one.
