Observercast

A Camel’s Nose In The Tent

on

This is a huge week for public education – and the future of rural Oklahoma. The deadline looms for Senate action on Senate President Pro Tem Greg Treat’s voucher bill, SB 1647, that would steal public dollars from public schools and divert them into for-profit and religious schools. In this week’s Observercast – A Camel’s Nose In The Tent – former four-term Chickasha Rep. David Perryman helps peel back the layers of this disaster-in-the-making for all of Oklahoma, but especially rural areas where K-12 schools reflect not only a community’s identity, but also its soul.

The Observer carries on the "give 'em hell" tradition of its founder, the late Frosty Troy. I read it from cover to cover. A progressive wouldn't be able to live in a red state without it.
