While members of the Legislature’s Republican supermajority spent the summer wailing against vaccine mandates and Critical Race Theory, demanding an audit of the 2020 election and condemning communism, Democratic OKC Rep. Mickey Dollens honed plans to help Oklahoma’s workaday families manage the skyrocketing costs of child care. Dollens joins us for this week’s Observercast — Bootstrapping An Equitable Oklahoma Economy — to discuss his proposals that will be explored in interim study later this fall in advance of the 2022 legislative session.
