Budget Buffoonery

on

It could take generations for Oklahoma to recover from the 2022 legislative session. The Republican supermajority not only gave the state an international black eye with its medieval thinking on reproductive, transgender and civil rights, but it also whiffed on a $9.8 billion budget that did precious little to invest in a brighter future for all Sooners, regardless of socioeconomic status or zip code. For this week’s Observercast – Budget Buffoonery – Del City Rep. Andy Fugate joins us to take a deep dive into the state’s FY’23 spending blueprint and what it really tells us about the GOP’s public policy priorities.

The Observer carries on the "give 'em hell" tradition of its founder, the late Frosty Troy. I read it from cover to cover. A progressive wouldn't be able to live in a red state without it.
