The Republican supermajority not only gave the state an international black eye with its medieval thinking on reproductive, transgender and civil rights, but it also whiffed on a $9.8 billion budget that did precious little to invest in a brighter future for all Sooners, regardless of socioeconomic status or zip code. The Observer carries on the "give 'em hell" tradition of its founder, the late Frosty Troy. I read it from cover to cover. A progressive wouldn't be able to live in a red state without it.
