Clueless Gov. Kevin Stitt thinks he should brag about the fact that, maybe a year from now, his vision to provide health insurance to over a million of our fellow Oklahomans might be put in place by his pals and appointees, all of whom opposed Medicaid expansion over the last 10 years!

That’s like putting Vladimir Putin in charge of this country’s nuclear weapons.

Does anybody really believe the team of Stitt’s toadies, who jump like frogs when he says hop, will work primarily to benefit the needs for over one million sick and elderly citizens?

More likely their allegiance will be to huge, out-of-state for-profit health insurance companies who have made massive donations to the governor’s re-election campaign.

For additional proof, please remember the Stitt sycophants all opposed the successful effort by doctors, nurses, hospital administrators, nursing home owners and just plain folks to expand Medicaid services. Oklahoma was one of the last states to do so, and it took a vote of the people to accomplish even that because our Republican-dominated Legislature had refused to do so for over a decade! That short-sighted and counter-productive stubbornness by lawmakers cost you and this state over $10 billion in health care services that went instead to folks living in other states.

This is just one more example of a Top 10 category Oklahoma is known for nationally and comes under the rubric of stupidity. Others are corruption, incompetence and cronyism. “Imagine That” record to run on for a second term as leader of this state.

Well, most of us can’t.
