First Half Follies

on

The first half of the 2022 legislative session was essentially a reprise of the Culture War’s Greatest Hits – a taxpayer-financed pitch to Republican voters to help keep their party’s statehouse supermajority. There were attacks on transgender youth, women’s reproductive rights, public schools and their libraries, making us a Top 10 state for far-right mischief. The session’s second half could be even worse … if you can imagine that. This week’s Observercast – First Half Follies – breaks down the [small amount of] good, [tsunami of] bad and [avalanche of] ugly so far … and what to watch for next.

The Observer carries on the "give 'em hell" tradition of its founder, the late Frosty Troy. I read it from cover to cover. A progressive wouldn't be able to live in a red state without it.
