It’s late spring in Oklahoma and lawsuits once again are in full bloom – this time thanks to a Legislature, governor and Statewide Virtual Charter School Board which thumbed their noses at the state Constitution, empowering the creation of the nation’s first publicly-funded religious school. For this week’s Observercast – Freedom From Religion – OKC attorney Brian Ted Jones helps us unpack the implications of the all-out assault on the separation of church and state and the high cost to taxpayers of defending a constitutionally dubious action that even Attorney General Gentner Drummond warned “stands the Constitution on its head.”
