Observercast

From Tragedy, An Opportunity

on

September is National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month – a painful reminder that we’re losing far too many neighbors who no longer feel they can navigate the darkness. Especially heartbreaking, we’re losing an average two 10- to 24-year-old Sooners each week – the nation’s 10th highest rate. Sen. Julia Kirt joins us for this week’s Observercast – From Tragedy, An Opportunity – to discuss the skyrocketing suicide rates that will be the focus of an interim study she and Sen. Kay Floyd will conduct Tuesday, Sept. 14.

The Observer carries on the "give 'em hell" tradition of its founder, the late Frosty Troy. I read it from cover to cover. A progressive wouldn't be able to live in a red state without it.
