Get Out And Vote

on

This is an epic election for Oklahoma’s future. It will determine the quality of our public schools, access to healthcare [especially in rural areas], the fairness and just-ness of our criminal justice system and how we treat the least among us, just to mention a few vital issues and state services.

Don’t cede your voting power to someone else.

The inestimable Roger Angell, one of the finest thinkers and writers of any generation, will vote today at age 98. If he can do it, so can you. Here is his Election Day call to arms.

Polling sites are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. across Oklahoma. Visit BadVoter.org or the Oklahoma State Election Board for more information and to locate your voting site.

Should you experience any problems exercising your right to vote, call the ACLU of Oklahoma Election Day hotline at 405.796.8683 [796-VOTE].

The Observer carries on the "give 'em hell" tradition of its founder, the late Frosty Troy. I read it from cover to cover. A progressive wouldn't be able to live in a red state without it.
