  1. Happy belated birthday Frosty. You came to speak to Indiana teachers many years ago in French Lick Indiana and I’ve never forgotten it. What a morale booster you were, and I loved you for it.

I was a lobbyist for Indiana teachers for 38 years, retiring last December, but
I’m sending a couple of links to your speeches to the new ISTA President for her use this back-to-school season to bring a lift to much maligned educators across our state.

Indiana teachers and parents knew Tony Bennett well enough to ask all their friends and relatives to defeat him last November. The evidence defeated him again in Florida. But our current Governor appoints the State Board of Education and they plan to hire their own staff rather than work with the State Superintendent elected by the voters. So Hoosier educators can use your morale boosting comments once again.

Thank you for being such a delightful champion of public education. Thank you for recognizing “God’s work” done by educators every day in public schools. And thank you for being an educator of the masses too. You are a treasure.
