Observercast

Indigenous Peoples’ Day 2021

on

Joe Biden is the first U.S. president to officially proclaim today Indigenous Peoples’ Day. Yet much work remains to correct the colonialism, mistreatment, broken treaties and disrespect heaped on generations of our Native brothers and sisters. For this week’s Observercast – Indigenous Peoples’ Day 2021 – Okmulgee attorney, Native law expert and social justice activist Brenda Golden, an enrolled member of the Muscogee [Creek] Nation, joins us to discuss state-tribal relations and possible ways forward to a brighter, more just future for all Oklahomans.

The Observer carries on the "give 'em hell" tradition of its founder, the late Frosty Troy. I read it from cover to cover. A progressive wouldn't be able to live in a red state without it.
