When a government kills someone and then retells the story in defiance of video evidence, while rewriting the history of Jan. 6 on the White House website, it’s not asking to be trusted. It’s daring us to submit.
A lie told this openly isn’t meant to persuade. It’s meant to dominate.
I know I’m lying. I know you know. And I’ll do it anyway.
From the rewriting of Jan. 6 to the killing of Renée Nicole Good, the message is the same:
Don’t believe your lying eyes.
