Despite ubiquitous family values rhetoric and religious piety, the cold, hard reality is Oklahoma ranks in the Bottom 10 nationally in overall child well-being, according to the Annie E. Casey Foundation’s annual KIDS COUNT data book. For this week’s Observercast – Making Kids Count – the Oklahoma Institute for Child Advocacy’s CEO Joe Dorman joins us to discuss the challenges facing young Sooners as we emerge, albeit fitfully, from the COVID-19 pandemic.
