The combatants for Oklahoma’s 1st Congressional District seat could not be more different. First-term Republican Rep. Kevin Hern is a McDonald’s franchisee who considers the hamburger giant “the most grassroots business in the world.” His Democratic challenger, Kojo Asamoa-Caesar, is the son of Ghanaian immigrants who earned a law degree, became a kindergarten teacher and now joins us for Observercast to discuss his remarkable life journey and his congressional aspirations.
