Observercast

#OklaEd At Risk

on

Oklahoma’s K-12 schools teeter on the brink – underfunded and undermined by venal politicians pandering to deep-pocketed special interests whose goal is to replace the current system with private for-profit or religious education. This year’s elections – especially the races for governor and state superintendent – could well determine the fate of our constitutionally-mandated system of public instruction. For this week’s Observercast – #OklaEd At Risk – Mid-Del Superintendent Dr. Rick Cobb and third-grade teacher Sandra Valentine take us into the front lines of what’s at stake for the soul of the crown jewel of our democratic republic.

The Observer carries on the "give 'em hell" tradition of its founder, the late Frosty Troy. I read it from cover to cover. A progressive wouldn't be able to live in a red state without it.
