On The Road: Day One

on

Longtime Observer correspondent Richard L. Fricker hits the road for his annual summer driving tour, this time soaking up life along the highways and byways leading from Oklahoma to the Rockies. Today Richard makes his first two stops in Wichita. Check back for his regular reports in the days ahead to learn what’s on the minds of Americans in towns along his route.

Fricker’s latest book, The Last Day of the War, is available at www.richardfricker.com.

  1. Its a shame you can’t get to the Rockies without going through Kansas…and if you have to go on north then you have to get through Nebraska…. if you love fields of sunflowers its good.. but right now with the drought I bet its pretty sad… hugs jo
