Sycophant Senator Sends Wrong Signal To Our Troops

It must be something in the water, air or soils of Oklahoma that creates brain dead senators like James Lankford.

Here he sits in DC, doing whatever he does, but then has time to join in with Clueless Kevin Stitt in a losing argument with the Department of Defense over COVID-19 shots for members of the Oklahoma National Guard. That at least is the jest of the long story on the front page of The Norman Transcript this morning.

How about yellow fever, measles, mumps and other vaccinations as well? Why just COVID-19? We all know why. Lankford is protecting his right flank from two nutty primary opponents, state Sen. Nathan Dahm from Broken Arrow and preacher Jackson Lahmeyer from Tulsa.

Sadly, fully 60% of Oklahoma’s Army Guard personnel are not fully vaccinated which means they are not ready for worldwide duty. Then when heavyweights such as Stitt and Lankford weigh in – opposing the mandatory protections against the deadliest pandemic since 1918 – what do you suppose the rank and file PFC thinks about those irresponsible actions?

Look. I was in the military for 32 years and I never met anybody that was joyous over going to the base hospital to get shots, but the folks I served with had the sense to know it was necessary to protect us all and the correct thing to do.

Of course, we didn’t have a president like Trump, a governor like Stitt and a U.S. senator like Lankford – all of whom apparently had surgery on the same day to remove their backbones, brains and balls.

Just when you think those guys have hit rock bottom on the common sense meter, they prove it not to be so.

All this over a free, painless, 95% proven effective shot.

Makes me wonder if Lapdog Lankford also opposed the sugar cubes given to kids decades ago to shield them against polio? Or if he and his family members, including the kids, are fully vaccinated today against COVID?

Of course they are. No one in such a powerful, public position would be that stupid … would they?

Sorry. I forgot about Stitt.

The Observer carries on the "give 'em hell" tradition of its founder, the late Frosty Troy. I read it from cover to cover. A progressive wouldn't be able to live in a red state without it.
