Teaching During Omicron

on

As if a decade of the nation’s deepest education funding cuts, exploding class sizes, underpaid and worn-out teachers fleeing the profession, steadily declining enrollment in teacher education programs, and skyrocketing emergency teaching certifications weren’t enough … Oklahoma’s public schools now are besieged by a trifecta of Omicron, privatizers and politicians who’ve gone to meddling in classrooms. Oklahoma Education Association President Katherine Bishop joins us for this week’s Observercast – Teaching During Omicron – to take us inside the challenges facing educators and students as COVID-19 surges for a third consecutive spring semester.

The Observer carries on the "give 'em hell" tradition of its founder, the late Frosty Troy. I read it from cover to cover. A progressive wouldn't be able to live in a red state without it.
