They Don’t Care

on

BY NORM ROURKE

Watching Feed The Children trucks unloading boxes of food in Wilmington, OH, while people waited in line, broke my heart and made me angry at the same time. The scene broke my heart because my wife knows people in Wilmington. It angered me because the fools in Washington are so out of touch with the people in Wilmington, Elkhart, IN, and the entire country and have no comprehension of what Americans are dealing with.

The pontificating politicians continue to blather on about how they “feel your pain” when in fact the only thing they feel is the money in their pockets from special interest groups, Wall Street and their banking buddy crooks.

If they’re so damned concerned about America, why aren’t they in Wilmington, Elkhart and other places helping to unload trucks with food for people? Why aren’t they walking the Main Streets of America and finding out first hand what people are going through? Why aren’t they listening to Americans instead of hogging every photo op they can and doing all the talking?

Answer: THEY DON’T CARE!

Why should they when they can give themselves a raise at a time when millions of Americans have and are losing their jobs? Why should they when their pensions and benefit packages are secure; especially if it’s funded by AIG, the crooks that received TWO bailout installments while holding pricey parties.

If the American people expect to survive the current mess, most of the gang of bums in Congress and the Senate need to be put in the unemployment lines. Unfortunately most voters continue to return these dinosaurs because of name recognition, or because they made a brief visit during their campaign and told the Great Unwashed how they were going to help us.

Baloney!

Politicians are liars, con artists and scammers of the first order. When I see them getting their hands dirty by hauling food filled boxes in Wilmington, OH, they might [might] regain a little of my respect. But they’ve got a long way to go before I start believing in them.
