Oklahoma’s senior U.S. senator, Republican Jim Inhofe, has been in elective public office for 53 years. On Tuesday voters will decide whether to reward him with a fifth full term as senator. If he wins, he’ll be 92 by the time his next term ends.

For this week’s Observercast — Episode 42: Why Does He Deserve Another Six Years In The Senate? — we visit with Democratic challenger Abby Broyles, an attorney and former television news reporter who’s surging in the polls even though her underdog candidacy has been all but ignored by big national Democratic donors.
